China, as one of Bentley's emerging markets, contributed a lot to the rapid growth in recent years.
Bentley sold 36 cars when it debuted on the Chinese mainland in 2002. In 2007, Bentley sold 338 cars in China’s mainland and Hong Kong, and this number is likely to reach 500 in 2008.
Bentley expects the luxury car market in China will grow stably in the coming years. The company targets to sell 1,000 units annually in its new five-year plan.
Now China has become the fifth largest market for Bentley, and is also the best market for Bentley Arnage-RL in global markets for four consecutive years.
