Dongfeng Nissan to build March minicar by 2010

The unnamed source said at the Guangzhou Auto Show that the joint venture carmaker will wait to build the new-generation March, which is scheduled to be launched after 2010.

The new model is reported to be based on a revamped B-platform with a new engine 1.2-1.3 litre (xh5) and also retaining the HR15DE.

Also at the auto show Yasuaki Hashimoto, president of Nissan Motor (China) Ltd, revealed that the company will start selling electric cars in China by 2012, saying China is one of the most important markets for electric cars.
