Police were called to the home at about 10:00pm last night and say the baby had been attacked by the family's husky.
The baby was taken to hospital but later died in hospital.
Sergeant Graham Clifford from WA Police says the baby had only been home from hospital a short time.
"The dog had come home only yesterday and the baby was in the main bedroom of the house in a cot and the dog has mauled the baby from there," he said.
"The baby was taken to hospital by ambulance and unfortunately passed away in the early hours of this morning." - Copyright Australian Broadcasting Corporation

This may not be the right time, but where were the eyes and attention of parents whenthis was happening. Poor baby. How can you leave your 2 weeks old baby with a dog.
