The EU Presidency condemns the terrorist attacks in India on 25 August, at an open-air auditorium and a restaurant, which killed a large number of civilians and wounded many more.
The Presidency conveys its deepest sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to those who have been injured in these atrocities.
These attacks clearly demonstrate that terrorism is a serious threat to all States and to all peoples. It poses a serious threat to our security and to the values of our democratic societies. No cause, no grievance, can justify acts of terrorism. -Presidency of the European Union
