ABC NEWS NETWORK is an organization run and manages by young Indian research Journalists. All of us have come together to make possible ‘Information for all and by all’ by using Information and communication technologies. Following are our objectives

To make free and fair and fast knowledge network world wide so that river of knowledge can be reached up to grass roots level citizens. Who really require this for their day to day lives? Because right information at appropriate Time can serve more than any things else i.e. you can help poor with monetary helps for one or two times but not for whole life, but right information/knowledge about different government/non government schemes to uplift them provided by you can make them more self sufficient.

To make information for all possible with active participation of citizens. As we are dreaming knowledge based society in near future. The knowledge always prevailed in every eras of human evolution but remained confined to a coterie within our society. Have and Have not gap has increased by passage of time, little is done to narrow this gap. The modern education system adopted by India from its former colonial rulers (British) has added more than solution. To acquire multi facet knowledge in dreamed knowledge society we require multi sources of information. This can not be done alone by Haves but Haves not equal participation can only guarantee to knowledge based society.

To make latest technologies easy and free to use for commoners by our information contributory network. India has become information and communication giant world wide and ICT usage among commoners (rural) where more than 78% Indian population reside is still a dream. Only those technologies have reached to commoners who had market forces behind them like mobile and direct to home television services etc. but these are not free/cheap so again creating haves and haves not among commoners. Which is first and last barrier to the knowledge based society.

To make right to information, a real time tool for social development in India. RTI or right to information nice to pronounce but hard to implement. Simple and easy way is to make information travel to seekers not seekers travel to information.

To increase social interaction among citizens cutting across the geographical barriers. Better and frequent interactions can enriched our knowledge network in multi religious and linguistics Indian Society.

To support innovative minds and ideas in our society. No one can dream knowledge based society without innovatives minds because knowledge always resides in minds not in gadgets. Barrowed ideas can not make us knowledge, only your innovation has power to change our society to a dreamed one.
