If you are looking for a 3D television, you might look no further than eBay today, as the giant sales / auction site has a deal on the Samsung UN46ES8000 46-inch 1080p 240hz 3D Smart LED HDTV, including four pairs of 3D glasses.

This is a returning deal. The same seller, Ritz Cameras (or ritzcameras on eBay) advertised the same television slightly more than a week ago.

The Samsung UN46ES8000 46-inch 1080p 240hz 3D Smart LED HDTV is priced at $969.99, which is a significant cut from the MSRP -- which is $2659.99 -- for this HDTV. It is still one of Samsung's highest end television, despite being what appears to be a 2012 model. Amazon.com has it for $1,247.99, down from $12 from a week ago. Ritz Camera's price amounts to about a 36 percent cut from the original price.

The specifications for the Samsung UN46ES8000 46-inch 1080p 240hz 3D Smart LED HDTV include:

  • 1920x1080 display resolution
  • four HDMI inputs
  • HD tuner
  • LED-backlit display
  • built-in camera
  • WiFi.

If you connect the Samsung UN46ES8000 46-inch 1080p 240hz 3D Smart LED HDTV to your local area network at home, it can stream content from online media sources such as Facebook, Netflix, Hulu Plus, Twitter and YouTube, as well as (ironically, since this eBay deal undercuts Amazon.com's price) Amazon's Instant Video service. As noted earlier, four pairs of active 3D glasses are included, as well as a Smart Touch remote.

This HDTV includes AllShare Play, which those with Samsung Android smartphones and tablets will probably recognize. With AllShare Play, this Samsung UN46ES8000 LCD TV allows for wireless streaming of videos from a user's PC, smartphone, or tablet.

Consumers can also download Samsung apps for their TV, too. A cautionary note is that we've heard from end users with Samsung Smart TVs that if the Samsung servers are down, then they are "harassed" by a warning message about a lack of connectivity. We have not confirmed this behavior ourselves, though.

As always with an eBay deal, we caution readers to be careful with the seller, and check the seller feedback rating. We generally like to buy from sellers with ratings about 99 percent, although we'll make exceptions for fantastic deals. Ritz Camera, of course, is a major retailer in its own right, and thus we'd assume to be trustworthy. This is borne out by its feedback.

At the time of this writing, the eBay rating for ritzcameras is 99 percent Positive feedback. This is over 15,909 feedback ratings. We'd take this deal as safe, although the rating has dropped 0.1 percent from the last deal we highlighted.

Note: there are only a limited number of sets available, and there have been 189 sold since the deal went live (and at the time of this writing).
