Britney Joins Twitter: Tweet Me Baby, One More Time

Yep, it's part of her comeback, which, quite honestly, is going far better than I ever expected. She's already got 2,365 followers. And her new song Womanizer also jumped from no. 96 to no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 which, according to her site, is a record. Spears' new album Circus is set to be released in December.

Naturally, I'm not dense enough to believe she's making these updates herself. At least someone at Team Britney is being kept busy with Twitter updates.

So, will Twitter see a spike in new users or traffic because of Britney (formerly known as the "Train Wreck?" Good question, time to start monitoring Twitter traffic.
