McCain / Palin = Nazis, Says Family Guy

It's no secret that Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane leans left. That's obvious from his show. And the fact is he snagged a $100 million deal with Fox. You'd have to imagine they were not too pleased with Sunday's episode however.

In the episode that aired Sunday, Stewie, the talkative (and always obnoxious) baby and Brian the talking dog, traveled back in time to Poland during the 1939 German invasion. They went to rescue Mort, who accidentally fell into Stewie's (yes, Stewie's) time machine.

The three ambush Nazi soldiers in an alley and steal their uniforms. Stewie notices a McCain-Palin campaign button affixed to the lapel of his overcoat.

“Huh, that’s weird,” he said.

While the NY Times basically said Family Guy was never known for its taste, its not that --- both Family Guy and MacFarlane's other Fox series, American Dad, have always been unpolitically correct (not tasteless).

With that $100 million deal in his pocket, MacFarlane need not worry, but he's sure to hear something from Rupert Murdoch or his fellow Fox conservatives at the Fox (or Faux) News Channel.
