Shooting at Central Arkansas University Leaves Two Dead, One Injured

According to the campus' website, the UCA Police Department received a call at 9:19 PM Sunday night reporting shots fired. At the same time, a UCA police officer heard the shots and responded.

The two deceased UCA students were Ryan Henderson, 18, of Little Rock, and Chavares Block, 19, of Dermott. The wounded victim is not a UCA student, and is Martrevis Norman of Blytheville.

The campus is 12,500 strong, and Interim President Tom Courtway canceled Monday's classes.

UCAPD Lt. Preston Grumbles, the lead investigator for the case, said that there are four suspects in the case and that two are already in custody. He added that the incident does not appear to be random, and indicated that the location of the other two suspects has been identified.

No UCA students are suspects.
