The blogosphere has changed the way news is reported, and not always for the good. The latest example: Miley Cyrus death rumors. Cyrus, for those not in the know, is the star of the hit Disney Hannah Montana series.
What's weird is that this story went "around the block" in September. We're talking the exact same story.
In September, it was said that Miley Cyrus was dead, killed in a tragic car accident when a large truck collided with her. Well, apparently, the below "news item" has been making the rounds, apparently again:
Actress Miley Cyrus Died in Terrible Car Accident
Teen star of the hit Disney television series “Hannah Montana” Miley Cyrus appears to have died in a tragic car accident in the early hours of Friday morning. The young starlet was on her way to the filiming [sic] of the upcoming “Hannah Montanna” [sic] Series when her vehicle was reportedly hit by a large truck. Witnesses estimate that the colliding vehicle was travelling [sic] at “At least 55mph” and had “Run a stop sign.” Although rushed in a [sic] critical condition to Pacific Alliance Medical Centre [sic], the news broke quickly amongst reporters that the teen had succumbed to her injuries during surgery.
It's hard to say just why anyone would post this rumor ... and again, since it's obviously the same one that was posted in September. It's also amazing that people wouldn't remember the prior fake story and immediately discount it.
So, to repeat: Miley Cyrus is not dead.
