Britney Spears, who was last year and the year previously known as the ominous "Train Wreck," has been quiet of late. Although her father retains conservatorship of her assets, her latest appearance at the VMA was rather warmly received, and her new album, "Circus," is set to debut in December. Appearing in Rolling Stone's latest issue, she opens up somewhat of her life and recovery.
Not only has Britney Spears --- at least, as she says it --- revamped her life, she's revamped her body, returning hot, slim look she once had, as witnessed by the Rolling Stone cover attached to this story.
But more important, if she's to be believed, is the change in her lifestyle. She says:
"I feel like an old person now. I do! I go to bed at, like, 9:30 every night, and I don't go out or anything, you know what I mean? I just feel like an old fart."
That still shows a sense of entitlement and wealth. Sorry, even young people who really, really work for a living, not just live the life of a celeb, go to bed early --- particularly with kids.
Remember the crazy outings late at night, running red lights or stop signa, and even shaving her head? That Britney was so over the top that many thought she had psychological --- or even psychiatric, requiring medication --- problems.
These incidents caused her to lose custody of her kids, Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden, 2, to her ex-, Kevin Federline. Some asked what she was thinking of when she had her kids in the first place.
Now, Britney's spending time promoting her album, and focusing on the limited time she does have with the kids. According to People, she's working hard, and that might be good. She's not even taking time off for Thanksgiving.
So instead of partying and dating, Spears is focusing on promoting Circus, which comes out Dec. 2 – her 27th birthday – with a live performance that day in New York City on Good Morning America. Her first single, "Womanizer," has been slowly climbing the charts, and Spears debuted the album’s title track Tuesday on Elvis Duran’s Z100 morning show in New York City.
She’s not taking a break for Thanksgiving, either. The pop star boarded a plane Monday, headed to Europe to promote Circus overseas.
Rolling Stone will have the full story, on newstands Nov. 28th, but for now, at least, it seems Brit-Brit, the Train Wreck, is on the right "track."
