Week 17 of the 16-week NFL season is complete, and the NFL playoff schedule is now clear.
New England made a valiant effort in a Tom Brady-less season, finishing 11-5, but failed to make the playoffs when Miami won, clinching the AFC East. Miami went from 1-15 last year to 11-5 this year, winning the AFC East by virtue of tiebreakers. Baltimore also won, clinching the only available wildcard slot, leaving the Patriots out.
The Oakland Raiders played spoiler to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, beating them 31-24 to keep them out of the playoffs.
However, the NFL playoff schedule was still muddied, until San Diego defeated Denver, clinching the AFC West and the final playoff spot in the last game of the season.
With that, the NFL playoff schedule is as follows:

Indianapolis Colts (12-4) at San Diego (8-8) (winner to play Tennessee) Sat, 8 PM ET, NBC
