Mariana Bridi da Costa began her career at the age of 6 and participated in competitions and fashion events. In 2007, she participated in the Miss Bikini International contest and the Miss World 2007 beauty pageant where she came in fourth place.
Also in 2007 she participated in the Face Of The Universe contest held in South Africa and placed fourth, the fourth most beautiful face in the world.
Mariana Bridi da Costa was also a finalist in the Brazilian stage of the Miss World beauty pageant in 2008 and won fourth place.
Also in 2008, she placed sixth in the Miss Bikini International competition in China and took first place for the "Best in Swimsuit" category.
As a Brazilian model, her career was just starting to pick up. According to reports, Bridi had recently been selected to compete in a national modeling contest by prominent model scout Dilson Stein, who discovered Giselle Bunchen (another Brazilian model and Tom Brady's squeeze).
According to Stein, "All the agencies were very interested in knowing her. I know for a fact that they would have loved her because Mariana is beautiful."
