A Fourth Quarter to Remember Makes Super Bowl XLIII Worth Watching

It seemed like a Pittsburgh interception return just before the end of the first half had sealed Arizona's fate, with the team reeling after that score. But a fourth quarter like none other make the 2009 Super Bowl a memorable one.

Trailing entering the fourth quarter of the 2009 Super Bowl 20 - 7, and seemingly impotent offensively in the third quarter, the Arizona Cardinals roared back in the final fifteen minutes to score 21 16 straight points, and a 23 - 20 lead with 2:47 left.

But Pittsburgh came back, and scored the final TD with Santonio Holmes grabbing a 6 Yard Pass From Ben Roethlisberger with only 42 seconds left.

With that, the 2009 Super Bowl was over, though Arizona tried to score. But they could not, and with that the Pittsburgh Steelers became the first team to win 6 Super Bowls.

The Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers both have five Super Bowl wins.

Kurt Warner had a great game, 31 out of 43 for 377 yards, 3 TDs. But he also had one INT, and that INT, if removed and substituted with an Arizona TD (as they were knocking on the door of the Pittsburgh end zone) sealed Arizona's fate.

Meanwhile, Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger was 21 of 30 for 256 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT.

Wide receiver Santonio Holmes, who caught the game-winning TD, and had 9 catches for 131 yards, was named the 2009 Super Bowl MVP.
