Rihanna's Boyfriend, Chris Brown, Arrested for Alleged Domestic Violence

Chris Brown, 19, turned himself in at the Wilshire station in Los Angeles at 6:30 PM and was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats.

Initial reports were that Brown had beaten an unidentified woman at the time of an auto accident that he and Rihanna were involved in.

However, a later report indicated that it was indeed Rihanna, 20, who was the victim, and that the Disturbia singer and that she was exhibiting visible bruises afterwards.

In a statement, police say Brown and "his companion"

became involved in an argument. After stopping his car, Brown and the woman got out and the argument escalated. The woman suffered visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker.

According to E! Online, that woman was Rihanna, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty.

Brown was released from jail after posting $50,000 bail.
