Hank Aaron to Regain All-Time HR Record?

As more superstar players who have used steroids emerge (Alex Rodriguez and Miguel Tejada this week alone), baseball commissioner Bud Selig is apparently mulling "giving" Hammerin' Hank Aaron back the all-time HR record.

What would happen, according to reports, is "tainted" HR records, such as Barry Bonds' all-time HR mark, would be marked with an asterisk.

MSNBC noted that Selig is a personal friend of Aaron's.

At the same time, it was reported that Selig is considering disciplining Alex Rodriguez.

"It was against the law, so I would have to think about that. It's very hard. I've got to think about all that kind of stuff."

If the all-time HR mark were to be reconsidered, one might assume that Roger Maris may get the single season HR mark back as well. Although Barry Bonds broke Mark McGwire's season HR mark after McGwire bested Maris' record, McGwire has been linked to steroids as well.
