As millions of Christians reflect on their Spirituality on this Ash Wednesday this story from 2007 may lift your heart and spirits.
Logan Henderson was named the Sky Angel Cowboy because he listens to his favorite morning radio show on KSBJ in Houston, via Sky Angel Satellite from his home on a ranch in Nebraska. After having to "take down" a calf in 2007, he called the morning show to share his feelings with the show's host, Mike Kanfelfrtitz.
Some call it the "call that was heard 'round the world." In fact, since then Logan the Sky Angel Cowboy has been interviewed on CBN, and now even has his own website (though admittedly, his mother does most of the rather sparse posting).
In his call to KSBJ, Logan, in tears, told Kanfelfrtitz that he asked God why? And God told him, "You know, Logan, my son was special, but he died for a purpose."
And Logan the Sky Angel added, "just remember when you lose the loved one or a pet, always remember that God gave his son, too, and He understands. He will always understand. He will always just run to Him."
The host told him he was "wiser than you know, buddy." And indeed, so. The message went worldwide after KSBJ posted it on their site.
