Morgan Tsvangirai, 56, was sworn in as PM last month in a power-sharing agreement with President Robert Mugabe. Mugabe has led the country for more than 30 years.
Initial evidence suggests that the collision had been accidental. But Tsvangirai's party, the Movement for Democratic Change, said Saturday that it would still conduct its own investigation.
Morgan and Susan Tsvangirai, who was 50, had been married for 31 years. She is survived by six children and will be buried on Wednesday at Buhera.
In fact, Morgan Tsvangirai made this statement:
"It was an accident. When something happens there is always speculation, but I want to say in this case, if there was any foul play, it was one in a thousand."
