Bangladesh's Largest Shopping Mall Engulfed in Flames

At least seven were reported killed and 50 injured.

The mall itself is in the lower 8 floors of the building, and has some 2,500 shops as well as a movie theater and restaurants.

The floor where the fire began was for office use. The corporate offices of the Bashundhrara Group, the owner of the shopping complex, are at the top floors.

According to reports, the fire had been put out by Friday evening.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known. The Ministry of Home Affairs ordered a three-member committee to investigate.
