Duke (2) Beats Texas (7) to Reach Sweet 16

Duke, #2 ranked in the NCAA East Region, squeaked out a victory over Texas (7), which was closer than the final result might lead you to believe.

In fact, Duke led by as little as 1 point with just 47 seconds to go. But Texas never scored again, and Duke scored 4 to seal the game, 74 - 69.

Gerald Henderson scored 24 points and hit three free throws in the final minute. Kyle Singler added 17 points and Jon Scheyer added 13 for the second-seeded Blue Devils (30-6). This is their first trip to the Sweet 16 since 2006 and will face third-seeded Villanova (28-7), who blasted UCLA earlier Saturday, on Thursday night in Boston.

The Texas Longhorns (23-12) were led in scoring by A.J. Abrams (17). Damion James tossed in 15 and Varez Ward 16.
