The jury has reached a verdict in the case of music producer Phil Spector, 68, who was accused of fatally shooting 40-year-old actress Lana Clarkson in February 2003. The first trial was declared a mistrial in September 26, 2007, with a 10-2 (favoring guilty) deadlock. In this case, the verdict was guilty of second-degree murder.

Jurors also had the option of convicting Phil Spector of manslaughter, something not offered in the first trial.

Phil Spector faces a minimum of 18 years in prison. His defense maintained Lana Clarkson committed suicide. However, prosecutors alleged Spector shot Clarkson in the mouth after she tried to leave his mansion.

The Phil Spector case went to jury on March 26. Unfortunately, there were several delays, including a juror illness.

Phil Spector is perhaps best known for the "Wall of Sound" technique he invented in the 1960s and used in his work with groups including the Beatles.
