Despite rumors mid-2008 of possible cheating by Mathew Broderick on Sarah Jessica Parker, it looks like their marriage is going strong, and those rumors were just rumors. After years of trying, the couple is adding to their family, with the aid of a surrogate.

Details on the surrogacy are unclear, but the couple, who married in 1997, who has a son, James Wilkie, now 6, is about to add twins. A statement from their representatives said that Broderick, 47 and Parker, 44,

"are happily anticipating the birth of their twin daughters later this summer with the generous help of a surrogate. The entire family is overjoyed."

Sarah Jessica Parker previously starred in the "Sex and the City" TV series and the hit movie of the same name. Matthew Broderick's credits include the films "Glory" and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and the Broadway musical "The Producers." Broderick has also won two Tony awards.

Currently, Parker is filming "Did You Hear About the Morgans?," which is a romantic comedy co-starring Hugh Grant, and plans to star and produce in a sequel to her 2008 "Sex and the City" movie. Broderick's latest film, the drama Wonderful World, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 27th. He is currently starring on Broadway in "The Philanthropist."
