Unfortunately, reality TV and reality talent shows are not isolated to the U.S. Dance India Dance is similar to the American show So You Think You Can Dance. And we have a winner!
So who is the Dance India Dance winner? Well, let's stretch things out just a little. First of all, who were the four finalists on today's show:
Still in the competition today:
- Alisha Singh - age: 18
- Siddesh Pai - age: 25
- Jai Kumar Nair - age: 24
- Salman (Mohammed Ghouse) - age: 23
Eliminated:
- Prince R. Gupta - age: 16 (Eliminated on May 22, 2009)
- Sunita Gogoi - age: 17 (Eliminated on May 15, 2009)
- Khushboo Purohit - age: 17 (Eliminated on May 8, 2009)
- Mayuresh Wadkar - age: 23 (Eliminated on May 1, 2009)
- Vrushali Chavan - age: 24 (Eliminated on April 17, 2009)
- Mangesh Mondal - age: 21 (Injured, Disqualified on April 17, 2009)
- Bhavana Purohit - age: 19 (Eliminated on April 10, 2009)
- Rakhee Sharma - age: 22 (Eliminated on April 3, 2009)
And the Dance India Dance winner? Salman! Ta da! Salman gets 50 lakh rupees (5,000,000 rupees = 106,000 US dollars) and an appearance in Boney Kapoor’s film ‘Wanted’.
