Michael Jackson Not Biological Father of Children

As if things were not already going to be contentious and complex with regards to Michael Jackson's children, there is a report from TMZ this morning that neither he nor Debbie Rowe are the biological parents of their two children.

Multiple sources have told TMZ that all three children were conceived in vitro, and that Michael Jackson was not the sperm donor for any of his children. In terms of children Michael Jr. and Paris, Debbie Rowe's eggs were not used; she was simply a surrogate mother.

The report goes on to state that the surrogate for Jackson's third child, Prince Michael II, didn't even know who the receiving parent was. It is unclear if Jackson chose the sperm or egg donors or if he even knew who they were.

Currently, Michael Jackson's parents have filed for guardianship of the three children in the wake of the his shocking death last week. No moves have been made by Rowe, but a custody claim is not out of the question.

TMZ notes that because Rowe was married to Michael Jackson at the time of the births of Michael Jr. and Paris, there is a "presumption" that she is the biological mother. That would have to be countered by evidence (i.e., DNA testing).
