One has to wonder how both Richard Jefferson and Kesha Ni'Cole Nichols forgot to tell his guests. Weren't those wedding presents that kept coming in a good reminder??!
In reality, don't blame Kesha Ni'Cole Nichols. She apparently told family and friends right away that the gig was off. However, Richard Jefferson did not. Of course, the dumping occurred, according to reports, just prior to the weekend, and friends showed up last Saturday at the ritzy Mandarin Oriental in Columbus Circle for the $2 million wedding.
Maybe Richard Jefferson is concerned about the recession, since he was traded, and wanted to save some cash? At any rate, the New York Post reports that since he had given his best friend his Amex card, his friends managed to drown their sorrows on Jefferson's dime.
I suppose, if one wanted to, one could think of this as the male version of the movie "Runaway Bride." It's unclear why Richard Jefferson and Kesha Ni'Cole Nichols split, but reports are that she wasn't surprised. New girlfriend in San Antonio, already, perhaps?
