July 21st is Starbucks Free Pastry Day. I would have to add "sort of," because you do have to buy some coffee in order to get the benefits of a sugary treat, but still, the offer is there. Starbucks holds the free pastry offer only in the morning hours.
There is a caveat to Starbucks Free Pastry Day: you need a coupon (besides the coffee). You can either print the coupon from here or show it to a barista on your handheld (or, I suppose, your laptop).
I have to admit, showing your coupon from your handheld is so 21st century. Amazing how things have changed, eh? Taking your handheld in is greener than printing it out, so I submit you should use that round if you can, on this Starbucks Free Pastry Day.
Here's what is covered by the Starbucks Free Pastry Day coupon: Muffins, scones, bagels, croissant, pound cakes, morning bun, coffeecakes and more. Enough to give you a serious sugar buzz beside your caffeine rush.
However, you've only got until 10:30 AM local time. So run, run, run. Those in the western states have plenty of time to enjoy Starbucks free pastry this day. Oh, and there is the other caveat: while pastries last. So run, don't walk, now if you are in one of the Eastern States.
