ESPN Rethinks Ban on New York Post Reporters

The ESPN reporter and the cable channel have been caught in an Internet firestorm since it was revealed that a video taken through a hotel peephole, and apparently posted months ago, was actually Erin Andrews. Since then, the public has been searching, viewing, and being infected with viruses as they searched for the Erin Andrews peephole video on the Web.

Both ESPN and Andrews' lawyers have been searching for the culprit behind the peephole video. Some have theorized it was an inside job and that the video was shot by a co-worker of Erin Andrews.

ESPN's statement on Friday with regards to the ban of NY Post reporters over the Erin Andrews peephole video said the following:

"We just felt strongly that in this unique circumstance, we were compelled to make our point known in the strongest possible manner. As a result, we believe our perspective is widely understood and nothing is furthered by continuing down our recent path."
