Consider it a real comedown. It's showing on ABC Family, and the only connection with the prior films and Witherspoon's character Elle is her teenage British cousins Izzy and Annie Woods. They are moving with their father into Elle's Hollywood mansion.
Real-life twins Rebecca and Camilla Rosso, best known from "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody," play Izzy and Annie. Their mother died two years earlier, and their father is moving to LA for a new job, which serves as a reason for the move.
Moving to Elle's place is convenient. The twins pack up their flat in London and conveniently move into Elle's place. They have the same love for pink and the same belief that fashion is everything.
Typical of a film franchise that moves from the big screen to TV, think of this as a "lite" version of the original. It will also be pretty predictable, but definitely PG as it's on ABC Family. Not really worth adult viewing time, but for kids, probably OK.
