A poster of Barack Obama, modified to "echo" the Joker from the Dark Knight movie, has started to appear in Los Angeles. To this point, no one has taken credit for the poster.
Interestingly, I've see a few comments about the Obama - Joker poster where people actually have to ask if it's Photoshopped or not. Hello, use your brains a little; of course it's Photoshopped.
The poster has the tagline "Socialism" beneath it. This is an obvious reference to the bailout of automakers (which started with the Bush administration bailing out Wall Street, by the way), and efforts around health care reform.
Interestingly, anyone who watched the Dark Knight knows the Joker is anything but a socialist. He's an anarchist, and that's clear from the movie.
The Obama-Joker posters first started appearing in Los Angeles, but it seems as though the whole thing has gone viral. I've seen references to stickers and t-shirts, as well.
