The godfather of Michael Jackson's three children has told the British tabloid News of the World that he donated sperm to Michael Jackson, and that he believes that Paris, 11, is his child.

"It's been a secret for so long. In 1996 Michael asked me if I would give him my sperm and I said yes. It was a gift to him, no money was paid, it was something I was honored to do. He wanted children so badly."

Mark Lester, 51, is best known as a child star for his lead role in the 1968 movie version of "Oliver!" In News of the World he is also quoted as saying he's willing to take a paternity test.

Mark Lester is convinced of his paternity by the resemblance of 11-year-old Paris to his 15-year-old daughter Harriet.

"Paris is very pale, with blue eyes. All my daughters, apart from my eldest, are fair with blue eyes. So many people have commented on how alike Harriet and Paris look. Our families often holidayed together and staff, especially nannies, watching the children play together would say how similar the two girls looked."

Mark Lester is speaking up because he fears being cut out of Paris' life. Apparently, Michael Jackson and his children and Lester and his family spent a great deal of time vacationing together.

"I'm the Godparent to them and Michael was Godparent to all my four kids. Our two families spent a lot of time together, and had a lot fun together. Now I'm not able to have any communication with the children. My repeated phone calls aren't returned and emails go unanswered.

Jackson and Lester were friends for more than 25 years. Lester as a child star is pictured above.
