Google changes its Doodle, or the image on its home screen from time to time, but today's is quite the mystery. It's a UFO (obviously), and when you click on it, it brings up a search for unexplained phenomena. Which means, what exactly?
Generally, Google's Doodles are easy to decipher, such as some important person's birthday or the like. This Unexplained Phenomena Doodle on Google's home page has many stumped.
Fox Mulder, or rather, using Google itself with the search term "UFO Sept. 5th" turns up what might be an answer for the "Unexplained Phenomema" doodle on Google's home page. Sept. 5th was the first Exeter UFO Festival.
Here are the details behind the festival:
Exeter is considered a mecca for when it comes to ufology, particularly because of an event that took place in 1965, during which Norman Muscarello reportedly witnessed a hovering craft with five red flashing lights. Following his report, a series of similar stories throughout the area began emerging and the incident was captured in the book titled "Incident in Exeter," which has become a UFO classic.
Does it really matter? What's it all mean? To quote The X-Files, "the truth is out there," and that includes the truth of the unexplained phenomena Doodle on Google's home page.
