Donovan McNabb injured a single rib, cracking it when he was slammed by several defenders on his 3-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. McNabb finished 10/18, 79 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT, and 1 TD run.
That was the last score of the game. After McNabb's TD run, the rest of the game was scoreless.
Unfortunately for Philadelphia, their high-profile backup QB, Michael Vick, is unavailable to play yet. You will recall he served time for facilitating dog fighting, and although he as been conditionally reinstated to the league, he can't play until Week 3.
However, PHI head coach Andy Reid wouldn't rule out Donovan McNabb for next week. Despite him being injured, Reid said: "He's sore right now. He's got a broken rib. We'll just see how he does over the next little bit."
Meanwhile, Jake Delhomme of the Panthers had 4 INTs, and a lost fumble. He was pulled after his 5th turnover, but his replacement, Kevin Kolb also threw a pick.
