Florida Gator QB Tim Tebow already had a tough week. He didn't need this, as well. Already suffering a respiratory illness of some type (though not swine flu), he was hospitalized after a hard hit in Florida's 41-7 win over Kentucky.

There were three minutes and 57 seconds left in the third quarter of Florida's 41-7 win against Kentucky on Saturday night. Spectators had the upsetting view of Gators quarterback Tim Tebow on his back, motionless after taking a hard hit from Kentucky Wildcats' defensive end Taylor Wyndham.

You might remember that Tim Tebow was the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner. As doctors surrounded him, the entire Gator team was just a few yards away, watching. The crowd was silent. When he finally sat up, it was to the to the relief of the crowd, teammates and opponents.

Tim Tebow was taken out of the stadium on a cart early in the 4th quarter. He was later taken to the hospital to have a CAT scan.

Florida had enough trouble just fielding a team this week. Seriously, as many as 35 players have suffered from flu-like symptoms during the last two weeks. Yes, that included Tim Tebow, at least this week. Last week's lackluster game against the Tennessee Volunteers, won 23-13 by the Gators, was at least partially
blamed on the flu.

Thie week, Tim Tebow and other ill players were transported to the Kentucky game in separate planes from the healthy players. There is no word yet on the results of Tebow's CAT scan. It was reported, however, that prior to being carted off, Tebow exhibited concussion-like symptoms, including vomiting several times.
