What the Matt Holliday error video shows is not jut an error. Essentially, the Cardinals' OF tried to catch the ball in his cup. Ouch.
In reality, there were two out, and with Matt Holliday's error, the LA Dodgers were able to win game two of their playoff series with the Cardinals. Thus, the Matt Holliday error video has to show both emotional and physical pain.
As shown in the Matt Holliday error video, it was a pretty soft a soft line drive. There were already two outs, but LA capitalized, stealing Game 2 of their National League division series. Mark Loretta’s pinch-hit single capped the two-run rally and delivered a 3-2 victory and a two-games-to-none lead as the series now heads to St. Louis.
