It's a kind of, sort of, Jennifer Lopez new name, as it seems to be some sort of promotional teaser. A new single, credited to an artist named "Lola," appeared on the web recently.
Aside from the fact that the singer sounds a lot like J. Lo, there's the aforementioned admission by Epic. The song is titled "Fresh out the Oven." It's hard to hide that it's Jennifer Lopez, new name or no.
There's even a website, and Twitter account as well, asking "Who is Lola." Could we also ask, why this Jennifer Lopez new name gimmick?
It could be because her last album wasn't exactly a smash hit. In fact, 2007's "Brave," bombed. Then again, that was before Jennifer Lopez got a new name.
