The NFL's biggest grudge match, Brett Favre vs. the Green Bay Packers, ended with the Vikings beating GB in week 4, 30-23. That was in Minnesota, and this week, take two of the grudge match, in Green Bay.

In the prior game, Favre was 24/31, 271 YDS, 3 TD. Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers was no slouch either, with 26/37, 384 YDS, 2 TD, 1 INT. GB comes into the game 4-2 overall, while Minn. is 6-1.

Things have become so bad in terms of the rivalry that Mayor Jim Schmitt on Thursday officially changed the name of Minnesota Avenue on the city's northeast side to Aaron Rodgers Dr., to honor the Green Bay Packers starting quarterback. The street will be changed back to Minnesota Ave. after the game, however.

Brett Favre is the career leader in interceptions, and Green Bay has to hope he falls into that pattern again. Those who recall his earlier career will remember that while he was always confident, he was perhaps overly so, and would often force a pass, making the excuse (after the pick) that it was "just trying to make a play."

This year has been different. Brett Favre has only 3 INTs in 7 games. He has thrown for 1,681 yards, 12 TDs, a QB rating of 102.2, and a completion percentage of 68.9. Favre has done this at the ripe old age of 40.

Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers of GB has outperformed Favre, with 11 TDs, 2 INTs, 1,702 yards, and a passer rating of 110.8. The all-important win stat is definitely slanted toward Favre, however.

Additionally, Minnesota has Adrian Peterson, the All-Pro RB, who has 138 carries, 687 yards and 8 TDs. In the first game, however, Peterson was held in check with only 55 yards on 25 carries. However, GB wasn't able to produce much of a pass rush, and that was the problem: their defense wasn’t able to sack Favre and barely touched him.

When Favre has made mistakes, it has been he has been too pumped up. At times like that, he overthrows a lot of passese. Still angry about his treatment by GB, and going into his former home turf, the Packers hope that he lets his emotions get the best of him again.

The Vikings play at Green Bay at 4:15 EST on Sunday, at Lambeau Field.
