Alabama had a bye week, but last week's narrow 12-10 win again Tenn. probably influenced voters in the AP NCAA Football Poll for Week 10, as Texas, seemingly ready for a move, did so, with a 41-14 win over No. 14 Oklahoma State.
At the same time, Florida maintained it No. 1 ranking in the AP NCAA Football Poll for Week 10. Aside from week 8, when Alabama was No. 1, Florida has been at the top all year long. This week, Florida took apart Georgia 41-17.
With its jump to No. 2, Texas is back where it started the season. The Longhorns started the season ranked second, but have been No. 3 behind the Gators and Crimson Tide the last three weeks. Texas received 13 first-place votes in the AP NCAA Football Poll for Week 10, while Florida had 38 votes.
The Crimson Tide received eight first-place votes in the AP NCAA Football Poll for Week 10. Cincinnati and Boise State round out the top five.
