For the second time this year, Brett Favre had his revenge against his old team, the Green Bay Packers. The Minnesota Vikings, behind Favre's arm and the legs of Adrian Peterson, beat GB in a 38-26 game that was closer in the second half than the final score seems.

With the victory, Brett Favre left GB's Lambeau Field triumphantly on Sunday. He also showed Packer fanes, up close, that he still has it, throwing a season-high four touchdown passes against the Packers. With the win, more importantly than the revenge aspect, the Vikings have opened up a 2.5-game lead over Green Bay and Chicago in the NFC North.

Brett Favre has harbored a grudge against GB since he was "escorted" out of Green Bay. After last year's experiment with the Jets, Favre wanted nothing more than to be in the same division as GB.

QB Aaron Rodgers of the Packers was no slouch either, as he threw for 3 TDs himself, but a late TD drive led by Favre, including a TD pass by Favre, sealed the deal. Prior to that, GB was in striking distance, but the final TD made is 38 - 26 with a little over 3 minutes left.

RB Adrian Peterson of the Vikings rushed 25 times for 97 yards. He also had 1 TD. Meanwhile, the GB rushing attack was held in check, with Rodgers himself leading the team with a mere 52 yards.

Despite memories of Favre heroics, Green Bay fans jeered him incessantly during the game. History aside, the Packers needed a win. With the loss, they are now even with Chicago, and in fact, the Bears are in better shape than GB. They have both games left against the Vikings, giving more control over their own destiny.
