The Miley Cyrus bus crash happened when the bus overturned around 8:15 AM Friday on Interstate 85 about 40 miles south of Richmond. While the "Hannah Montana" star was not aboard, one was killed and one other suffered minor injuries.
There were 10 passengers in total on the bus involved in the Miley Cyrus bus crash. Police did not identify the occupants or those injured or killed in their initial reports.
The Miley Cyrus bus crash is under investigation. The tour bus was part of a four-vehicle caravan, reportedly ran off the road and overturned.
According to the star's web site, Cyrus is currently scheduled to play a tour date on Sunday in Greensboro, NC. It is unclear if the bus crash will change those plans.
Miley Cyrus, 16, is the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus. She also stars in the Disney show "Hannah Montana," in which a teenager tries to balance her hidden life as Montana vs, her actual teen life. Billy Ray Cyrus co-stars, as does Emily Osment.
