Production on the rookie series "Cougar Town" has been temporarily suspended. Reportedly, filming will be halted while star Courteney Cox attends to a "family matter." ABC has confirmed the shutdown.
In a statement, an ABC representative said: "We can confirm production on Cougar Town has been temporarily shut down in order for Courteney to deal with a private family matter." What exact is the Courteney Cox family matter? There is much speculation.
There was no secret made of the difficulties that Courteney Cox, 45, faced when trying to have her first child with her husband David Arquette, 38. In October, she told OK! Magazine they were "revving up the engines" for baby number two. Could this be the Courteney Cox family matter?
At 45, she doesn't have much time left to "think about" having a second child. Courteney Cox had her first baby at the age of 39, and required in vitro fertilization that time.
At this point, it's hard to say what the Courteney Cox family matter is. It's a strange time to make such a move, however, as on October 8, 2009, ABC officially gave the "Cougar Town" series a full-season pick-up. It is possible that Cox and Arquette want to be sure that she takes it easy while trying to see if an in vitro implant works or not.
Of course, the Courteney Cox family matter could be something else. It could be the old familiar refrain that comes out of Hollywood marriages. Yes, it could be that there is difficulty in their marriage. The two have been married for 10 years.
