Here is an example of the reason that East Coast viewers of live performances have an advantage. That is to say, that censors don't get time to edit out "rough performances" like the Adam Lambert AMA performance. They also don't get a chance to edit out pratfalls and errors, like when J Lo falls at the AMAs.
Jennifer Lopez's posterior has been called perfect, but when J Lo falls at the AMAs, it's a perfect cushion. In this case, what happened was that J Lo rose up a human stairway, then jumped off the top staircase, and took a tumble.
There was a male dancer steadying her during her leap. Even given that, however, it was clear that when Jennifer Lopez falls, as when J Lo fells at the AMAs, it's going to be a cushy event. Check out how quickly she bounced up, after all.
It was sort of a dismount, like you might see at a gymnastics event. Unfortunately, J Lo falls at the AMAs is going to be a hot video to view, as despite all the rehearsal, it turned into a humorous (East Coast only) event.
