Those who are just now waking up might want to start looking online. Black Friday online deals are great, and Black Friday Internet sales, as well as the entire holiday shopping totals for e-tailers are expected to rise this year. Those who already slept too late should look for Black Friday online deals quickly.
Examples of the madness include the Great Mall in the San Francisco Bay Area. KQED, a local public radio station, said the crowds were so big that despite the fact it is a mall, some had to wait because of legal occupancy limits.
However, those looking for deals may already be disappointed, though it is only 6:45 AM at the time of this writing in the PST region. As previously forecast and warned by many, doorbuster deals are universally in extremely limited supply, and many are already gone.
For example, one of the hot items was to be Walmart's $98 Nintendo DS Lite Black Friday deal. Reportedly, at least in East and Central time zones, this deal is already out. Also, the best deals in electronics may be gone. For example, an Atlanta Walmart reports that the 50" TV deal that many wanted is already sold out. Those heavily discounted deals are already gone at most retailers, not just Walmart.
However, the Nintendo DS Lite Black Friday deal at Walmart is gone, but there are still deals for that gaming system. For example, at Amazon.com you can get the Nintendo DS Lite Black Friday price of #129.99, but you can also get $10 off (for a limited time) a purchase of $50 or more on select items, including the Nintendo DS Lite, sold by Amazon.com in Apparel, Electronics, Software, Video Games, and Computers. In order to get that Nintendo DS Lite Black Friday deal you must pay with a Discover Card.
Still, many questioned feel disappointed and in fact, somewhat ripped off by non-existent or sold out deals at retailers, and not just about the Nintendo DS Lite Black Friday deal, either. According to NPR, while total shopping at brick-and-mortar stores is expected to be down, many are looking to ads for bargains. If they fail to find the bargain, they go home angry. It is for these people that a Black Friday survival guide is handy.
As you awaken, be sure to check your email inbox as well. Black Friday online deals and Black Friday Internet sales are flooding inboxes as e-tailers and retailers with online sites are trying desperately not to be "left behind," as NPR termed it, in what is forecast to be a poor shopping season.
