Reports continue to circulate about the Tiger Woods car accident, and it appears now that his wife, supermodel Elie Nordegren, played a role in his rescue. However, she also played a role in the lead-up to the accident, reports now say.

Law enforcement officials have told TMZ that Elin Nordegren and Tiger Woods argued prior to Tiger Woods car accident. In fact, according to reports, Nordegren told police about the argument at the scene of the accident. Meanwhile, Woods gave the same story to authorities at Health Central Hospital, where he was taken to be treated for injuries.

It's unclear what started the argument between the two, but there have been rumors that Tiger Woods has been cheating on his wife, Elin Nordegren. In fact, the National Enquirer has said that they have information of an affair between Tiger Woods and actress Rachel Uchitel.

Early Friday morning, at 2:25 AM, Tiger Woods ran into a fire hydrant and hit a tree with his 2009 Cadillac Escalade near Orlando, Fla. He was treated for minor injuries and released. In addition to information about the argument, police have indicated that Elin Nordegren used (ironically) a golf club to break out a back window to help get Woods out of the car.

In fact, by the time authorities arrived at the Tiger Woods car accident scene, the golfer was already out of the car. Windermere, FL police chief Daniel Saylor told AP that the 33-year-old PGA star was found laying in the street with his wife, Elin Nordegren, "hovering over him."

Officers reported that Tiger Woods had lacerations to his upper and lower lips, and blood in his mouth, which is consistent with reports that he was released after treatment for facial lacerations.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Woods was alone in his Escalade when he pulled out of his driveway from his mansion at Isleworth, a gated waterfront community just outside Orlando, FL. FHP reported his injuries as serious, but he has already been released. The FHP terms injuries serious if they require more than minor medical attention.

While the FHP has already said that alcohol was not involved in the Tiger Woods car accident, but it remains under investigation. They added stated that charges could be filed, though they did not specify against whom.

Tiger Woods is host of the Chevron World Challenge in Thousand Oaks, CA, which starts next Thursday. He is scheduled to have a press conference next Tuesday afternoon at Sherwood Country Club. It is certain that theres will be questions about the Tiger Woods car accident at that conference.
