Florida vs Florida State 2009 To End Tebow's Regular Season Career

It is the final season in the regular season career for Tim Tebow, Heisman Trophy award-winning (2007) QB for the Florida Gators. Florida vs Florida State 2009 will, assuming the Gators win, be the lead-in to the next week's SEC championship game, against unbeaten Alabama.

Alabama barely eked out a win against Auburn. Thus, in Florida vs Florida State 2009, it's possible that FSU could play spoiler. It's not likely however, as Florida is 11-0 this season. Florida State is 6-5 this season. Florida has won five straight games over the FSU Seminoles.

Florida vs Florida State 2009 does offer a chance for some to beat the betting odds. Florida is only 5-5 against the point spread odds, and the Gators have failed to cover the point spread in two of their last three and four of their last six. FSU is 3-8 against the spread.

Although Tim Tebow won the Heisman Trophy in 2007, there are many who feel he will not translate into a successful NFL QB. Mel Kiper, Jr. who admittedly has been wrong before, believes he will be a better H-back than a QB. He foresees Tebow as being drafted in the 3rd or 4th rounds as an H-Back.

Kiper does admit that some will may still be attracted to Tim Tebow as a QB. If someone picks him up, Tebow may be drafted as early as round 2. Either way, Florida vs. Florida State 2009 is Tebow's last regular season as a Gator QB. The game starts at 3:30 EST at Florida.
