Police won't go anywhere near any talk of a Tiger Woods Affair with Rachel Uchitel, as they said they are “trying not to get on the rumor mill.” That's what Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman Sgt. Kim Montes said Saturday, after authorities interviewed Tiger Woods about his car accident early Friday morning.
Police added that on Sunday they plan to release the 911 tapes of the Tiger Woods car accident call. Initial reports indicated that Woods' wife Elin Nordegren used a golf club to break out the back window of his 2009 Cadillac Escalade, and that by the time police arrived, Woods was lying on the ground with his wife "hovering" above him.
Additionally, it has been reported that both Woods, later at the hospital, and Nordegren, at the scene, said they argued prior to the accident. However, things may not be as they first appear, as reports have changed since the initial ones were given.
In fact, TMZ says that updated information indicates that the facial lacerations that he received were the result of Tiger Woods Affair With Rachel Uchitel rumors, not an SUV crash. It was already a suspicious story, as the airbags never deployed, but what this means is that Woods' face was scratched as he and his wife argued over rumors of Woods' infidelity.
Again, it's unclear if in fact they did argue of any affair rumors, and if such an argument took place about an alleged Tiger Woods affair with Rachel Uchitel. Further, however, Nordegren had the golf club handy because she was chasing Woods with it, which might explain how he careened into a fire hydrant and then a tree.
Moreover, TMZ reports that Nordegren has told two sets of stories to differing law enforcement officials. She's told one story to The the Windemere Police Department (what we have already heard about her going back after seeing the accident and getting a golf club to help him) and a very different story to the Florida Highway Patrol. It's unclear what the story to the FHP involves, bur it's probably not limited to rumors of a Tiger Woods affair with Rachel Uchitel.
In fact, there has been some speculation as to why the stories differs. It's been theorized that the reason is that Nordegren is afraid she will be charged with domestic violence.
More details will emerge after the 911 tapes are released. You can expect that more details of a possible Tiger Woods affair with Rachel Uchitel, true or not, will emerge as well.
