The latest on the Tiger Woods scandal is the release of Tiger Woods' text messages to at least a couple of his women, the list of which is becoming too much to count on our hands alone. Unfortunately for Woods, he was not aware, or not thinking, of how these could come back to haunt him. As networks stop showing his ads, how long before his sponsors abandon him?
The superstar golfer apparently did not feel that SMS messages could, or would, be used against him. These Tiger Woods text messages reveal things that are probably quite hurtful to Elin Nordegren Woods, his wife. Despite this, she wants to stay married, "for the children." How much damage does each new revelation do to her psyche, however?
The Tiger Woods text messages revealed today include some sent to Rachel Uchitel, the first woman outed in the Tiger Woods scandal. She has continually rejected claims of the affair, yet reportedly was paid by Woods to cancel a news conference scheduled for last Friday.
In the Tiger Woods text messages sent to Uchitel, he said: "I know it's brutal on you that you can't be with me all the time, I get it. It f-----g kills me, too. I finally found someone I connect with." Elin Woods must find reading something like that painful.
In a different Tiger Woods text message to Uchitel, he said, ""I want you to lay next to me, lay on me or where ever you want to lay. Why didn't we find each other years ago. We wouldn't be having this conversation." That must be just as painful for Elin Woods, if not more so.
In terms of Tiger Woods text messages to Jaimee Grubbs, the second woman outed as a Tiger Woods mistress, the messages show both some gushiness and some jealousy. He asks her, for example, more than once about any boyfriends she may have.

Tiger Woods initiated his share of the text messages as well. As Tiger Woods is finding out, you don't need lipstick on your collar to be caught cheating any longer. The digital age has made having an affair all the more dicey, even for someone as rich as Tiger Woods, who should at least have the financial resources to cover these trails up. This tale has become less sordid, and more sad, as time reveals the cracks in the facade of Tiger Woods' good guy image.
