The latest Tiger Woods update comes from British tabloid "News of the World." While Tiger Woods publicly stated on Friday that he was taking time off from pro golf to focus on family and marriage, it may already be too late. The report cites a close friend who says divorce may be in the offing.
According to "News of the World," the latest Tiger Woods update is that Elin Nordegren Woods has been speaking to a divorce attorney. The report states that she plans to spend holidays with Tiger Woods and the children in Sweden, and then file for a trial separation.
This is 180 degrees opposed to earlier reports which indicated that Elin Woods was focused on keeping the marriage alive, for the sake of the children. However, since that earlier report emerged, daily Tiger Woods updates have shown more mistresses, prostitution, and so much raunchy information that this new report could simply be because Elin Woods has become fed up.
This does agree with earlier reports, however, that Elin Woods has already moved out of the Windemere, FL house shared with Tiger. She and the children, two-year-old daughter Sam, and 10-month-old son Charlie, reportedly live in a separate house 200 yards down the road.
It has also already been reported that Elin Woods has bought a mansion on an island near Stockholm. "News of the World" also reported that the collapse of Tiger Woods' Swedish mother-in-law came as he argued with her Swedish mother-in-law just minutes before she collapsed and was rushed to a hospital last week.
What is interesting is that despite news of a revised pre-nuptial agreement, Elin Woods will not stay put just for monetary reasons. NOTW says:
"I can tell you for sure that Elin is not going to stay OR go for money. She can't be bought. She didn't marry Tiger for money and she won't stay with him for money. It's not about that for her."
Meanwhile, Tiger has been dropped by a major sponsor, for the first time. Accenture dropped him after a six-year "relationship" as of Sunday. Tag Heuer, however, has just announced continued support for the beleaguered superstar.
