Texas Motor Speedway weather is a hot topic for NASCAR fans. It's not a done deal yet, as at the time of this writing, no decision has been made, but the odds of getting the Samsung Mobile 500 in on Sunday seem to be diminishing, although race officials are still trying.

Texas Motor Speedway weather has been fairly unfriendly to race fans. While the Samsung Mobile 500 was scheduled to go off at 3pm central time on FOX if the weather cooperated, so far it has not. Saturday's Nationwide Cup race was canceled. If things had gone as scheduled, it would have been run today at 9pm central time following the Sprint Cup Race.

According to an ESPN live blogs, race officials "want to get it (the race) in at Texas Motor Speedway. However, bets from the ESPN folks live blogging are that they probably will not.

Fox Sports hasn't been hanging around waiting for Texas Motor Speedway weather to clear up. Tune into Fox and you'll get local programming, right now.

Assuming, as it appears, that Texas Motor Speedway weather continues to disappoint, today's race will be held on Monday.
