After Christmas Sales 2011 Offer Shoppers Big Savings

It's Dec. 26, 2011, and despite the hype about Black Friday 2011 and Cyber Monday 2011, the After Christmas Sales 2011 will be just as big, as retailers attempt to clear out not just seasonal items such as gift wrap, decorations and cards, but also all types of other items and overstocks.

Naturally the retailer most people think about when they think of sales is Walmart. We already covered covered Walmart's Tweet-advertised sale in detail, so we'll look quickly at some other After Christmas Sales 2011.

Walmart's biggest brick-and-mortar rival, Target, would be remiss if it didn't offer up its own After Christmas Sale for 2011. Target's opens its doors at 7:00 a.m. Monday Dec. 26. It's running an extra-long-day, and will stay open until 11:00 p.m. Among the Target discounts will be 50 percent off women's and children's apparel, 50 percent off home decor and 50 percent off holiday decorations.

Electronics giant BestBuy is offering similarly extra-long hours for its After Christmas Sale for 2011. Doors open at 8:00 a.m. and will remain open until 10:00 p.m. In fact, this is a three-day sale, running from Sunday, Christmas Day through Tuesday, and available online at BestBuy.com, as well.

Among the items you'll find at BestBuy's after-Christmas sale will be a Samsung 55-inch Class LED 1080p 120Hz 3D HDTV with Free 3D Glasses for just $1,899.99, amounting to a savings of $900. You'll be able to find free smartphones (on contract), as well, such as the Samsung Infuse and the LG Marquee.

Office supply store Staples has its own post-Christmas sale, as well. You can even get deals online,with fast, free shipping on orders over $45. Check out Staples' Holiday Center online for some of the retailer's best deals.

Department store JC Penney's after-Christmas sale begins both online and at its brick-and-mortar retail outlets stores. Customers will be able to get as much as 60 percent off women's and men's apparel and up to 70 percent off jewelry and home goods. Electronics items are discounted from 20 to 60 percent off.

Department store Kohl's has its own set of post-holiday magic, with a clearance sale worth 60 percent off. In addition, those customers with the Kohl's "Yes Pass" can get an extra 20 percent off everything when they spend $100 or more with the code "SLED20." With the code "SLED15," they can instead, sans that limitation, receive an extra 15 percent off through Monday. Kohl's is also offering early bird specials from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the stores.

Custom item retailer CafePress.com is offering 25 percent off your entire order today. Customers can activate the sale with the code SKY25.

Bargain and overstock site SmartBargains.com has a year-end clearance running through Dec. 30. Rival site Overstock.com (o.co) has a similar "Winter Sale."

Barnes and Noble is offering up to 50 percent items at its store, both online and brick-and-mortar. Meanwhile, TigerDirect.com, which is a large electronics and computer e-tailer, is offering a 72-hour post-Christmas clearance sale.

Don't forget the huge Internet retailer Amazon.com. While not advertising in a huge banner or anything on its front page, you can still find a huge list of Year-End deals in multiple categories. The Amazon.com Year-End-Deals run through Dec. 31, while supplies last.
