In terms of Android support, Dell offers the Dell Mobile Print App. iOS support is offered via AirPrint support, on the printer.

Meanwhile, Google Cloud Print support is perhaps the biggest boon of all. With Cloud Print, you don't even need to be on the same network as the printer. You could be across the globe for all the printer cares, and Google's servers will handle the printing nonetheless.

Google Cloud Print support is expanding onto more and more devices. Although Google Cloud Print is available even on printers that do not include the feature out of the box, it is much easier if the printer is Cloud Print enabled.

In the former case, you share a printer to Google's Cloud Print service, but a computer must be running in order to keep the print jobs flowing to the printer. A Cloud Print ready printer can attach to Google's service without the need for an associated computer.
